have i missed something or is nicky being uncharacteristically quiet about scotland?
I think Nicky said in an interview recently (can’t remember where, sorry) that he didn’t feel that he had the right to talk about it. I think by not saying anything, he’s trying to be respectful of the Scots or something
Chefchaouen, a small town in northern Morocco, has a rich history, beautiful natural surroundings and wonderful architecture, but what it’s most famous for are the striking and vivid blue walls of many of the buildings in its “old town” sector, or medina.
The maze-like medina sector, like those of most of the other towns in the area, features white-washed buildings with a fusion of Spanish and Moorish architecture. The brilliantly blue walls, however, seem to be unique to Chefchaouen. They are said to have been introduced to the town by Jewish refugees in 1930, who considered blue to symbolize the sky and heaven. The color caught on, and now many also believe that the blue walls serve to repel mosquitoes as well (mosquitoes dislike clear and moving water).
Whatever the reason, the town’s blue walls attract visitors who love to wander the town’s narrow streets and snap some beautiful photos.
Oh hello Anon! I’m glad you’re still around, and thank you again for your kind words!
The xxxholic thing is a very good question though. My initial plan was to get through Tsubasa first and then do xxxholic afterwards. I’m not sure how effective that would be at this point though, since I quickly realised that they intended that you read them at the same time. Also it turns out that I have SO MANY THINGS to say about pretty much every page of Tsubasa that it’s going to take a very long time to get through the whole storyline. (and now there’s even a sequel, so…)
So my instinct is to open this up to all of you guys and see if you have any suggestions on what I should do with xxxholic. Should I follow the original plan and just leave it for ages, or should I read it on the side and make occasional posts as I go (kind of like what I’ve been doing with X/1999 and Magic Knight Rayearth and so on)? Or is there another suggestion that you guys might have?
This didn’t fit in the little answer box so.
I’d say read it on the side w/occasional posts. It’s not so imperative in the early parts of Tsubasa but as both series progress it’s a great help to be up to speed on them both.
